MALOLOS, BULACAN – The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will open the modernized Museo ng Kasaysayang Pampulitika ng Pilipinas on 11 October 2016, 12:00 p.m. at the Casa Real Shrine, Malolos City, Bulacan. Vice President Ma. Leonor G. Robredo and NHCP Chair Maria Serena I. Diokno will lead the opening ceremony.
The Museum focuses on the history of the Filipino struggle for freedom in all its aspects: freedom from colonial occupation, dictatorship, and the right to education and a decent life.
In addition to original artifacts, the museum uses infographics, realistic murals, touchscreen terminals, interactive maps, and a 3D audio-visual presentation. It also has an e-learning room where students can access online lessons on Philippine history.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums and publications, and preserve the nation’s historical heritage.
