Background and Aims

In response to the subsequent need for heritage conservation instructors stirred by the establishment of the Basic Conservation Strand in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track of the Department of Education (DepEd), the National Historical Commission of the Philippines through the Materials Research Conservation Division offers this course on “Basic and Advanced Training on Conservation for Senior High School Instructors”  starting 03 April to 26 May 2017. It is designed for DepEd teachers in the Philippines, who are interested to learn, educate and train in basic and advanced methods in the conservation of movable and immovable heritage objects.

In view of the NHCP’s mission to promote Philippine history and cultural heritage through research, dissemination, conservation, sites management and heraldry works, the course aims to provide the knowledge, tools and training to DepEd teachers who are passionate about heritage and its protection.
