Marorong Islet, Sarangani ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its OIC- Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid, will unveil the Mga Guho ng Tanggulan ng Marorong historical marker on 22 June 2022, 1:30 p.m. at the Marorong Islet in Sarangani, Davao Occidental. The marker states:

 OIC-Deputy Executive Director Alcid will officially turn over the marker to Sarangani Island Mayor Virginia Cawa. NHCP-Historic Sites and Education Division Chief Gina C. Batuhan and MEO Sarangani Engineer Rey Camillo will stand as witnesses to the signing of the certificate of transfer.

Mayor Cawa will give an acceptance message. The program will also highlight the Muslim-Sangir cultural presentation, and Lumad and Muslim Mass Dance.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
