QMC, QUEZON CITY ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its OIC-Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo, will unveil the historical marker “National Federation of Women’s Clubs of the Philippines” on 15 September 2022, 9:00 a.m. at the Recreation Hall of Quezon Heritage House at the Quezon Memorial Circle, Quezon City. The marker states:

Part two (2) of the program will be held at the NFWC Centennial Celebration Venue, Quezon Hall 2, Seda Hotel, Vertis North where OIC-Exec. Dir. Arevalo will officially turn over the marker to Quezon City Mayor Ma. Josefina G. Belmonte. Mr. Enrique Quezon-Avanceña, descendant of Manuel Quezon and Aurora Aragon Quezon, National Federation of Women’s Clubs (NFWC) President Linda P. Gonzalez, NFWC Foundation President Mary Jane C. Ortega, and NHCP Deputy Director Alvin R. Alcid will stand as witnesses during the signing of the certificate of transfer.
Mayor Belmonte will deliver her acceptance speech after the signing of the certificates.
The program will also include a virtual presentation of past NFWC presidents and incumbent members of the board of directors; and the induction of Mayor Belmonte as NFWC Honorary Adviser.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
