MALOLOS, BULACAN ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo, will unveil the historical marker, “Asociacion Filantropica de los Damas de la Cruz Roja en Filipinas” on 15 August 2024, 8:00 a.m. The marker states:

ITINATAG SA PANAHON NG UNANG REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS SA PAMUMUNO NI HILARIA DEL ROSARIO NA MAYBAHAY NI PANGULONG EMILIO AGUINALDO, SA MALOLOS, BULACAN, 17 PEBRERO 1899. LAYON NITONG ALAGAAN ANG MGA SUGATAN AT MAYSAKIT NA KAWAL NOONG DIGMAANG PILIPINO-AMERIKANO KAAGAPAY ANG HUKBONG SANDATAHAN NG UNANG REPUBLIKA. PINALAWIG ANG KANILANG MGA SANGAY SA IBA’T IBANG BAHAGI NG PILIPINAS. PATUNAY ANG KUMBENSYONG GENEVA NG 1864 NA NAGTATADHANA SA CRUZ ROJA NA MAGKAWANG-GAWA SA GITNA NG DIGMAAN.
NHCP Executive Director Arevalo will present the historical marker. Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando will deliver his acceptance message after signing the certificate of transfer. Witnesses to the signing are Bulacan Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, NHCP Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid, Bulacan Provincial Administrator Antonette V. Constantino, and Provincial History, Arts, Culture and Tourism Office (PHACTO) Chief Dr. Eliseo S. Dela Cruz.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
