BACOLOR, PAMPANGA ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy, will unveil on Thursday, 5 October 2017 at 9:00 a.m., the historical marker Felix Galura at the Felix Galura Monument, Bacolor, Pampanga. The marker states:

NANGUNA SA PAGKUBKOB SA BACOLOR, NOO’Y KABESERA NG PAMPANGA, NA NAGBIGAY DAAN UPANG MAPALAYA ANG LALAWIGAN MULA SA MAGKASAMANG PUWERSA NG MGA ESPANYOL AT VOLUNTARIOS DE MACABEBE, 3-4 HUNYO 1898. Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy will officially turn over the marker to the Municipal Government of Villa de Bacolor, Pampanga through Mayor Jose Maria O. Hizon. Descendant of the honoree Mr. Virgilio “Jun” Galura and NHCP Deputy Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo will stand as witnesses during the signing of the certificate of transfer.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine history through its museums, research and publication, and preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
