The Don Celso Ledesma Mansion is a neoclassical structure situated at the city proper of Iloilo City. It is most famous for the ornate details that adorn the house, and the eagle statues perched at the fence posts of the home. Home to the city’s former mayor, Don Celso Ledesma, and was the site of the grandest and most lavish parties of Iloilo at the time. It is a reminder of the beauty of pre-war architecture, as well as the lifestyle and culture of those outside Manila during the 1920s.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
