MANAOAG & BAYAMBANG, PANGASINAN ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) together with the Local Government of Manaoag and the Local Government of Bayambang, will unveil the historical markers Manaoag and Bayambang on 13 November 2024 at 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. consecutively.
The ‘Manaoag’ marker states:

SA MASUKAL NA KAKAHUYAN NG MANAOAG, PANGASINAN LUMAGI SI EMILIO AGUINALDO, PANGULO NG UNANG REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS, AT ANG KANIYANG HUKBO HABANG IPINAGTATANGGOL ANG KALAYAAN AT PAGKABANSA NG MGA PILIPINO, 14 NOBYEMBRE 1899.
ANG PANANDANG PANGKASAYSAYANG ITO AY PINASINAYAAN BILANG AMBAG SA PAGGUNITA SA IKA-125 ANIBERSARYO NG KALAYAAN AT PAGKABANSANG PILIPINO, 12 HUNYO 2023-23 MARSO 2026.
NHCP Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid will present the marker while Manaoag Mayor Jeremy Agerico B. Rosario will deliver his acceptance message.
The ‘Bayambang’ marker states:

NHCP Deputy Executive Director. Alcid will present the marker to Bayambang Mayor Mary Clare Judith Phyllis Jose-Quiambao, who in turn, will give her acceptance message.
This unveiling activity is one of the series of marker unveilings in Pangasinan spearheaded by the NHCP in line with the 125th anniversary of Philippine Independence and Nationhood.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
