KAWIT, CAVITE ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) together with the Municipality of Kawit, will spearhead the commemorative rites at the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine on 22 March 2025, Saturday at 9:00 a.m.

Agimat Partylist Representative Bryan B. Revilla will be joined by 1st District of Cavite Representative Ramon Revilla III, Cavite Governor Athena Bryana D. Tolentino, Kawit Mayor Angelo Emilio G. Aguinaldo, NHCP Deputy Executive Director Alvin R. Alcid, and Ms. Emille Aguinaldo-Pulido — descendant of Emilio Aguinaldo.

The program will highlight the life and contributions of Emilio Aguinaldo, first President of the Philippines. He was a Filipino revolutionary, statesman, and military leader who led the Philippine forces first against Spain in the Philippine Revolution (1896–1898, and finally against the United States during the Philippine–American War.

A mass will be offered by Rev. Fr. Efren Bugayong of the Santa Maria Magdalena Parish Church at 6:30 a.m.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
