KAWIT ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) together with the Municipality of Kawit will conduct the commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the Philippine Revolutionary Government and the unveiling of the “Kawit” historical marker on 23 June 2023, 6:00 p.m. at the Dambanang Emilio Aguinaldo, Kawit, Cavite.
NHCP Chairman Emmanuel Franco Calairo will lead the unveiling of the “Kawit” historical marker. The marker states:

SAKSI ANG POOK NA ITO SA PAGKABANSA NG PILIPINAS, ANG KAUNAUNAHANG REPUBLIKA SA BUONG ASYA. ANG PANANDANG PANGKASAYSAYANG ITO AY PINASINAYAAN SA PAGGUNITA SA IKA-125 ANIBERSARYO NG KALAYAAN AT PAGKABANSANG PILIPINO, 12 HUNYO 2023 – 23 MARSO 2026
A short program will commence after the unveiling of the historical marker at the 2nd floor of the Dambanang Emilio Aguinaldo. NHCP Chairman Calairo will deliver his message. Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin is invited to deliver a keynote speech.
A ceremonial toast will be conducted to honor the founding of the revolutionary government and will be followed by the presentation of certificates recognizing the 125th anniversary of the founding of the following government agencies: Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Education (DEPED), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of National Defense (DND), Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT),Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
