Loay, Bohol —The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) through the Museo ng Pamana at Kasaysayang Boholano will commemorate Napoleon Abueva through a webinar entitled “Napoleon Abueva: Ang Iyang Bug-os nga Pagkinabuhi Alang sa Pamilya ug Komunidad” on 20 February 2023, Monday, at 2:00 PM.
Ms. Amihan Abueva will discuss memories of her father and his legacy in the Boholano and art communities.
Known as the Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture, Abueva became the youngest person to be recognized as National Artist in 1976 at the age of 46.
A contribution to the celebration of National Arts Month, the webinar will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Museum, as well as the pages of the NHCP and the following Museums:

– Museo ni Jesse Robredo, Naga City, Bicol
– Museum of Philippine Economic History, Iloilo City
