Manila – The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) will commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Filipino Woman’s Heroism: Through Victory and Humanity, sa Tagumpay at Pakikipag-Kapwa Tao, through a webinar with NHCP Chairman Rene R. Escalante’s welcome remarks, and NHCP Commissioner Ms. Lisa Nakpil’s message, leading the opening program via ZOOM Meeting and Facebook Live on 16 November 2021 at 9:00 a.m.

Speakers for the event are Dr. Maria Bernadette L. Abrera and Dr. Maria Luisa T. Camagay from the University of the Philippines (UP), Ms. Desiree Benipayo from Philippine World War II Foundation, and Ms. Valerie May Cruz-Claudio from Ateneo de Manila University.

The webinar activity will be held on 16 and 25 November, and will highlight Filipinas’ role and contributions throughout the nation’s history.
