NHCP unveils Pag-aaklas ng Rehimyento ng Tayabas historical marker
FORT SANTIAGO, MANILA ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Chairman rene R. Escalante, will unveil on Friday, 19 January 2018 at 10:00 a.m., the historical marker Pag-aaklas ng Rehimyento ng Tayabas. The marker states:

Chairman Escalante will officially turn over the marker to the Intramuros Administration through Atty. Guiller Asido. Mr. Ryan Palad of Alternatibong tahanan ng mga Akda at gawang Nasaliksik, Inc. (ATAGAN), and NHCP Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy will stand as witnesses during the signing of the certificate of transfer.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine history through its museums, research and publication, and preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.

- The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), through the Government Appropriation Act 2018 (GAA) intends to apply the sum of Php 9,767,314.68 being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for:Restoration of Santa Maria Magdalena Parish Church and Convent in Magdalena, LagunaBids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.
- The NHCP now invites bids for Conservation of the Immaculate Conception Church. Completion of the Works is 180 calendar days. Bidders should have completed a contract similar to the Project. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly, in Section II. Instructions to Bidders.
- Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using non-discretionary “pass/fail” criterion as specified in the 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184 (RA 9184), otherwise known as the “Government Procurement Reform Act.”Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships, cooperatives, and partnerships or organizations with at least seventy five percent (75%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines.
- Interested bidders may obtain further information from NHCP and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from Monday to Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
- A complete set of Bidding Documents may be acquired by interested Bidders from the address below and upon the applicable fee for the Bidding Documents, pursuant to the latest Guidelines issued by the GPPB in the amount of Php 10,000.00. President Rodrigo Roa Duterte leads the observance of the 121st Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal
MANILA – The Rizal Day 2017 Inter-Agency Task Force, in cooperation with other national and local government agencies, leads the national commemoration of the 121st anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal on 30 December 2017, 7:00 a.m. at the Rizal National Monument, Rizal Park, Manila; Rizal Shrine, Calamba City, Laguna; and Rizal Shrine, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte will spearhead the observance with an early morning flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremonies at the Rizal Monument, Rizal Park in Manila. The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Chair Rene Escalante, Acting Exec. Dir. Ludovico D. Badoy, AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Rey Leonardo Guerrero, and other officials from various government agencies will assist the President in the conduct of the said event.
Mayor Justin March SB. Chipeco of Calamba City; and Atty. Gabino S. Saavedra II, Provincial Prosecutor and Zamboanga del Norte Councilor, will serve as guests of honor in Rizal Shrine Calamba, Laguna and Rizal Shrine Dapitan, respectively.
Other scheduled activities at the Rizal Park, Manila are:
- “Serbisyong Handog ng Pamahalaan” (Medical, Dental, and Optical Services), at the Noli Me Tangere Garden, from 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.;
- Diskwento Caravan at the Senior Citizens Garden, from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.;
- “Pana Ten: Ang Sampung Panata Natin,” an exhibit highlighting the 10-point agenda of the Duterte administration at the Noli Me Tangere Garden;
- “Harana Para Kay Rizal”, a night of patriotic and kundiman songs featuring the San Sebastian Chamber Singers, at the Noli Me Tangere Garden at 6:00 p.m.
- “Labs Kita Sabado”, a Filipino rock festival concert at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.

Philippine National Police Stakeholders’ Night (Gabi ng Pasasalamat)
28 November 2017 – Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy, in behalf of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, recieved an award from Philippine National Police Chief Ronald dela Rosa during the Stakeholders’ Night (Gabi ng Pasasalamat) held at Camp BGen. Rafael Crame, Quezon City. The NHCP was given the said award in recognition of its “remarkable contributions to the success of the program thrusts of the PNP.” The NHCP’s support, “continues to inspire the men and women of the PNP in giving their best in serving the community.”
The NHCP and PNP always work hand-in-hand in various activities, such as commemorations of Independence Day, Bonifacio Day, Heroes’ Day, Rizal Day and others.

154th Birth Anniversary of Andres Bonifacio.
Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana to lead Bonifacio Day commemoration
DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana will lead the flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremonies at the Bonifacio National Monument, Caloocan City on 30 November 2017, 8:00 a.m. in commemoration of the 154th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio.
This year’s commemorative program is led by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in coordination with the City Government of Caloocan and other government agencies.
The program will begin with the reading of the Bonifacio Decalogues by Mr. Reuben Mercado, representing the youth sector; Mr. Salvador M. De Jesus, representing the labor sector; Atty. Gregorio Bonifacio, representing the professional sector; and Ms. Angeles C. Azarias, representing the women sector. Caloocan City Mayor Oscar G. Malapitan will deliver the welcome remarks while NHCP Chairman Rene R. Escalante will introduce the event’s guest of honor, DND Secretary Lorenzana, who will deliver a message.
Other historical sites commemorating the event are the Bonifacio Trial House, Maragondon, Cavite; Bonifacio Memorial Shrine, beside Manila City Hall; Bonifacio Monument, Balintawak (Cloverleaf), Quezon City; Bonifacio Monument, Tutuban Center, Manila; and the Bonifacio Monument, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig to pay tribute to the noble hero.
