The Municipality of Culaba, in the Province of Biliran, was created out of the barrios of Culaba, Bool, Acaban, Habuhab, and Pinamihagan, all from the Municipality of Caibiran, Province of Leyte, by virtue of Executive Order No. 630, enacted on 16 October 1953.
