Flag-raising and wreath-laying rites will be held at the Museo ng Paglilitis ni Andres Bonifacio, Maragondon, Cavite; Bonifacio National Monument, Caloocan City; Bonifacio Memorial Shrine, beside Manila City Hall; Bonifacio Monument, Balintawak (Cloverleaf), Quezon City; Bonifacio Monument, Tutuban Center, Manila; and the Bonifacio Monument, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig to pay tribute to the noble hero.

Andres Bonifacio is regarded as the “Father of Philippine Revolution” during the Spanish colonial rule and the leading Founder of the Kataastaasan Kagalanggalangan Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (KKK or Katipunan) established on 7 July 1892. Open to both peasants and the middle class the organization aimed to put an end to the Spanish colonial rule. Bonifacio was later on elected as Supremo of the Katipunan.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums and publications, and preserve the nation’s historical heritage.
