KAWIT, CAVITE ─ Kawit Mayor Angelo Emilio Aguinaldo will spearhead the simple commemorative rites for the 156th anniversary of Baldomero Aguinaldo on 27 February 2025, 8:00 a.m., at the Museo ni Baldomero Aguinaldo.

He will be joined by Kawit Vice Mayor Edward S. Samala, Department of Education (DEPED) Kawit District Administrator Rolando P. Talon, Ph.D., National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Supervising Historic Sites and Development Officer Bryan Anthony C. Paraiso, descendants of Baldomero Aguinaldo, and other non-government organizations.

After the commemorative rites, Rev. Fr. Cedric R. Mendez, Parish Priest of the St. Michael the Archangel Parish will bless the tomb of B. Aguinaldo. The NHCP will also open an exhibit titled, “PINSAN: A Letter from Miong to Berong Hongkong 1898.”

Baldomero Aguinaldo y Baloy is remembered as one of the leaders of the Philippine Revolution. He is a first cousin of Emilio Aguinaldo, the first president of the Philippine Republic and a grandson of former Prime Minister Cesar Virata.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
