TAGUIG, METRO MANILA ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Chairman Emmanuel Franco Calairo, unveiled the historical marker, ‘Manuel L. Quezon’ last 16 February 2024, 7:30 a.m. at Plaza Quezon, Santa Ana, Taguig City. The marker states:

The commemoration began with a prayer led by Pastor Dominador Corpuz of the Values Formation and Community Transformation Office, followed by the flag-raising and Martsa ng Taguig courtesy of both the Taguig City Chorale and Taguig City Band.  

Councilor Jomil Serna of the Taguig City Council delivered the opening remarks, and immediately after was the unveiling of the marker led by Chairman Calairo and Taguig City Mayor Laarni Lopez Cayetano. The presentation of the marker was also done by Chairman Calairo followed by the signing of the certificate of transfer. The event was witnessed by NHCP Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo and Councilor Serna. Taguig City Mayor Cayetano gave a message of acceptance in closing the program.  

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote Philippine history through its museums, research, and publications, and to preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
