MARAGONDON, CAVITE ─ The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy, will unveil on Thursday, 26  October 2017 at 9:00 a.m., the historical marker Liberators Guerilla at the Maragondon Plaza, Maragondon, Cavite. The marker states:

LIBERATORS GUERILLA ITINATAG NI PATROCINIO Z. GULAPA SA MARAGONDON, CAVITE BILANG SAMAHANG ANTI-HAPON (ANHAP), 8 MAYO 1942. PINALITAN ANG PANGALAN BILANG LIBERATORS GUERILLA SA ILALIM NG PAMUMUNO NI BERT C. FULLER, 17 HULYO 1944. NAGING BAHAGI NG HUNTERS ROTC SA ILALIM NI MARIANO B. VILLANUEVA, 22 NOBYEMBRE 1944. KINILALA NG 11TH AIRBORNE DIVISION BILANG HIWALAY NA YUNIT NG HUNTERS ROTC AT NANGUNA SA PAGLABAN SA MGA HAPON SA CAVITE AT BATANGAS, 15 PEBRERO – 30 APRIL 1945. TUMULONG SA PAGPAPATROLYA SA CAVITE, BATANGAS, AT TAYABAS (NGAYO’Y LALAWIGAN NG QUEZON). KINILALA NG PHILIPPINE-RYUKYU COMMAND, 20 PEBRERO 1945.

Executive Director Ludovico D. Badoy will officially turn over the marker to the Municipal Government of Maragondon, Cavite through Mayor Reynaldo A. Rillo. Councilor Reagan E. Gulapa will stand as witness during the signing of the certificate of transfer.

The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine history through its museums, research and publication, and preserve historical heritage through conservation and the marking of historic sites and structures.
