Naga, Camarines Sur – The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in coordination with the Local Government of Naga City, will conduct a simple program commemorating the 63rd birth anniversary of Jesse Robredo on 27 May 2021, 7:30 a.m., at the Museo ni Jesse Robredo, Naga City, Camarines Sur.
A memorial mass will be offered in front of the museum which will be followed by a flag raising and wreath-laying ceremony. Wreath offerors will be 3rd District of Camarines Sur Representative Gabriel H. Bordado Jr., Naga City Mayor Nelson S. Legacion, Naga City Vice Mayor Cecilia B. Veluz-De Asis, National Historical Commission of the Philippines-Museo ni Jesse Robredo Curator Mark Anthony Glorioso, and Mr. Jose M. Robredo. Wreath from the Office of the Vice President will be prepositioned.
Mr. Glorioso will deliver the welcome remarks to be followed by the messages of Mr. Robredo, Vice Mayor Veluz-De Asis, Mayor Legacion, and Representative Bordado.
A virtual message from Vice President Ma. Leonor G. Robredo will highlight the works of Jesse Robredo such as the Tsinelas Leadership (poverty alleviation program) among others, and the commitment of Filipino doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, and other frontliners to serve the nation in its drive to combat COVID-19.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine historical heritage through research and publication, conservation, marking of historic sites and structures, and administration of national shrines and museums.
