San Juan – The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in coordination with the City of San Juan, conducted a simple program commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Battle of San Juan Del Monte on 30 August 2021, 8:00 a.m., at Pinaglabanan Shrine, San Juan City.
The program was composed of flag raising and wreath-laying rites which was led by San Juan Mayor Francisco Javier M. Zamora and were joined by San Juan Vice Mayor Jose Warren P. Villa, and National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) Historic Sites and Education Division Chief Gina C. Batuhan.
The commemorative event is limited to few attendees adhering to the IATF rules on social gatherings. The public was invited to visit the NHCP website and official Facebook page for the details of the event.
The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine historical heritage through research and publication, conservation, marking of historic sites and structures, and administration of national shrines and museums.
